ViewNew Trier Township plays a vital role in balancing the social service needs of the community, while serving as responsible stewards of Township tax dollars. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available, including on our Advisory Committees, Peer Jury Program, Food Pantry and Holiday Programs.
ViewHousing Opportunity Development Corporation is a community-based nonprofit developer of affordable housing serving north suburban Cook County and suburban Lake County. HODC serves low income families, seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals and local workers.
ViewNo child should miss a day of school for need of warm, sturdy clothing. Each year ESCCA provides a full wardrobe of clothing and shoes and coats to 700+ school children in need.
ViewRefugeeOne creates opportunities for refugees fleeing war, terror and persecution to build new lives of safety, dignity, and self-reliance.
ViewOur mission is to accelerate children’s literacy learning and to develop in them a love of reading and writing. Working in partnership with underserved schools, Reading Power provides one-to-one literacy tutoring during the school day for children in prekindergarten through 2nd grade in North Chicago and Zion.
ViewThe mission at Beacon Place is to inspire and guide our neighborhood’s children and families toward a brighter tomorrow. We do this through a community center and 6 core programs that focus on academic support, nutrition and overall health and other life skills development.
ViewNorthwestern Settlement’s comprehensive approach to community building provides immediate assistance for short term emergencies, education opportunities, and access to a wide network of additional programs.
ViewThe Pitch In after-school mentoring program is a cohort-based, group mentoring program based in the North Lawndale neighborhood, designed to offer unique learning experiences and opportunities for personal growth to students in 4th through 8th grades.
