About this Opportunity

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for 2022-23 Wheelchair Basketball Program at Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for GLASA\’s wheelchair basketball program! The GLASA G Cats have both competitive prep and varsity teams and compete throughout the Midwest. The game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. The prep team plays on a 8½-foot hoop and is for beginners, while the varisty team plays on a 10-foot hoop for those interested in joining the competitive travel team. Volunteers are needed to assist athletes, work with equipment, setting-up, fielding balls, running drills and taking down the equipment after the program. Volunteer Requirement: It is preferred that volunteers have previous basketball experience. We are currently recruiting volunteers to help in a variety of volunteer positions. Please feel free to sign up for more than one volunteer position (as long as they don\’t overlap)! If you have difficulty signing up or have any other questions, please feel free to contact Emily Higgins at volunteer@glasa.org or (847) 989-7743.
