Tax preparer volunteers are needed to assist North Shore Senior Center clients and community members in completing and filing simple yearly tax returns. This service is intended for seniors but is open to all and is provided in conjunction with the AARP Tax Aide program. Preparers must have basic computer skills, strong communication and organization skills, and a keen attention to detail. Volunteers must be discreet with and keep client’s personal and financial information confidential. Tax preparation class through AARP is required. The AARP Tax Aide Program runs from February 2023 to mid-April 2023. Training for the program will begin prior to the start date.
