Save the Date! Mark Your Calendar Now for Our Annual Make A Difference Day on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Make a Difference Day is one of the North Shore’s favorite community days of service — and a great opportunity to clean out your closets to benefit people (and animals!) in need. All you have to do is collect gently-used and new items ranging from school supplies to sporting goods, textbooks to toiletries, pet supplies to prom dresses — and more! Then just load up your car and drive through and drop off your donations to grateful nonprofits who will put them to good use serving people (and animals) who need them! We’ll even help you unload your car.

More information to come about the specific nonprofits and the list of items they each will be collecting. So visit this page often to watch for updates. And mark your calendar now for this can’t-miss opportunity to do some good in our community that will also do some good for the clutter in your home

Over 100 guests joined us on a culinary journey around the world as we paid tribute to four local volunteers who make a difference every day on our local community. It was a beautiful Spring evening to gather waterside Wednesday evening, May 10th at the beautiful Wilmette Harbor Club for a lively event featuring a global menu of drinks and appetizers donated by local restaurants, followed by an inspirational program and presentation to our honorees.

Thanks to All who “Shared Their Bounty” With Those in Need This Thanksgiving

Families, individuals and community groups really made a difference to those in need at Thanksgiving this year.  Clients of the New Trier Food Pantry in Winnetka were treated to baskets of special treats and personal items.  And 180 families from Good News Partners in Rogers Park gratefully received bags filled with groceries to fill their pantries.   We are most thankful for such a generous community!
