Be one of the friendly faces that help enhance guest’s experiences, and learning through playful interactions in our Museum exhibits. Assist the Museum staff by ensuring a safe and clean environment on the Museum floor. Keep an eye out for lost children and keep exhibits organized so that all patrons can enjoy the interactive exhibits.

Golf Event Volunteers

Tutoring Chicago’s annual Read the Greens golf outing is a fun way to connect with the organization staff, board members, supports and friends. Volunteers will help monitor the course competitions throughout the day.

Additional details:
-Volunteers need to be at least 17 years of age
-Time: 11:30a- 5:30p
-Lunch and dinner will be provided
-Golf course attire: collar shirt, business casual, no jeans
-Northmoor Country Club, 820 Edgewood Road, Highland Park

Spread the Light is a supporter appreciation reception for PEER Services, a nonprofit that provides substance use prevention and treatment services.

Volunteers will assist with set up and clean up, registration/check-in, monitoring food and collecting/disposing of waste (used plates/cups), directing guests to the room, and other similar tasks.

Professional / business casual dress requested (e.g., neat slacks and polo shirt or nicer).

SALUTE INC. Charity Partner event with the Stars & Stripes Half Marathon/5K/10K

SALUTE, INC. has been chosen as the Charity Partner for the Stars & Stripes Half Marathon/10K/5K in Hoffman Estates on the morning of June 29th. We need to bring approximately 30/35 volunteers to help us at the event so we can reach our fundraising goal. This will be a fun event and all volunteers will get to take home some FREE SWAG! Duties are simple, like attending water stations, cheering on runners, and handing out medals. Groups welcome and we are happy to sign off on volunteer hours. The event is in the morning, so you will still have the rest of your afternoon free.

The Leukemia Research Foundation needs your help to make the 30th Annual ABC7 Gibbons Run a success! This inspiring event raises critical funds for leukemia research and patient support programs.

Volunteer on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at Montrose Harbor in Chicago.

We have a variety of roles available, including:

Event Set-up/Tear-down: Help us get the event ready and pack down afterwards.
Registration Tent: Assist participants with registration and answer questions.
Volunteer Check-in: Welcome volunteers and assign roles.
Heroes of Hope Tent: Support families and patients impacted by leukemia.
Runner Refreshments: Keep participants hydrated and energized.
Course Marshals: Ensure the safety and smooth running of the race.

The mission of the Market is to enhance the quality of life within our communities by hosting a neighborhood activity that promotes a wholesome, social gathering place. The Market provides an opportunity to support local and regional small businesses to foster and grow the stakeholders in the Market.
The Winnetka Farmers Market is dedicated to ensuring the future of our food by enhancing support for sustainable farmers, educating our community, and broadening access to locally grown produce.
In essence, our approach involves creating a vibrant, community-driven space that not only supports local businesses but also contributes to the overall well-being of our communities. Through these efforts, the Winnetka Farmers’ Market strives to make a positive impact on the local economy, environment, and the lives of those we serve.
Market opens 22 Saturdays beginning June 1, 2024 through October 26. 7:30 am – 12:30 pm Wanted Market Ambassadors, to answer questions from vendors and residents, booth sit when vendor requires a break, provide water to vendors, do surveys, oversee children’s scavenger hunt, assist with musicians, etc.
