Provide Groceries for Low-Income and Homeless Families at Our Annual “Share Your Bounty” This Thanksgiving

The Volunteer Center is once again looking for volunteers to provide holiday groceries to families and individuals in need at Good News Partners (GNP) this Thanksgiving. Any individual, family or group looking for a way to safely help during this particularly challenging time is invited to fill either a cloth or double bagged paper bag — or small box — with all of the items in the list below, then drop it off between 10am and noon on Thanksgiving morning to 1600 W. Jonquil, Chicago (Rogers Park area off of Howard).  Read on for more details.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our dedicated volunteers!

The Volunteer Center Offers TWO Ways to “Share Your Bounty” This Thanksgiving

Take A Look At “Share Your Bounty” 2017

In 2017, members of the community donated 60+ baskets of fresh produce to fill the New Trier Township Food Pantry’s shelves for Thanksgiving. And the students and their families at Skokie School in Winnetka teamed with the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary to collate and deliver over 140 bags of groceries to the families at Good News Partners in Rogers Park.  Take a look:

Thanks to Everyone Who “Shared Their Bounty” at Thanksgiving This Year!

Many hands made for a bountiful Thanksgiving for clients of Good News Partners and the New Trier Township Food Pantry.

The Volunteer Center is grateful to the families, individuals, schools and community groups who donated carloads of nutritious food to the clients of Good News Partners, and a pantry full of fresh produce to the New Trier Township Food Pantry.   Special shoutout to Fred Schwimmer and Ned Meisner from the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary, and the Hartvigsen family of Winnetka, who helped deliver all of the donations on Thanksgiving morning.

In 2015 Families and Groups Came Together to Donate 250 Bags of Food to
Clients of Good News Partners!

Last year was filled with abundance and gratitude as individuals, families, and school groups turned out in force to share their bounty with those in need at Good News Partners (GNP) and New Trier Township.
