Hundreds of Dedicated Volunteers Helped Feed 100,000 Starving People in Nicaragua at Kids Against Hunger 2017
The Volunteer Center, The Winnetka-Northfield Rotary, and the Winnetka Community House welcomed hundreds of volunteers who helped pack 100,000 nutritious meals for hungry children in Nicaragua on Saturday, March 11th from at the Winnetka Community House. This is always a great group or family service project — and a fun way to come together in service to people in desperate need. This year was no exception. Thanks to all who participated, and to the Winnetka Community House for hosting!

The Volunteer Center is joining with New Trier Township and Regina Dominican High School to sponsor a free community-wide document shredding and disposal event this Saturday, May 7th from 8:30am-11:30am at Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette. Kids Against Hunger 2019 Exceeds Goal, Producing 100,440 Meals for the Hungry
The VC is grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who showed up on Saturday, March 16 for one of our most meaningful days of service. Tables filled with family, friends old and new, and community groups who helped assemble 100,440 nutritious meals for starving Nicaraguans, which surpassed our 100,000 goal! This is always a fast paced and fun service project that has become an annual tradition!
