Hundreds of Enthusiastic Volunteers Helped Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King’s Legacy with a Community Day of Service

Volunteers of all ages and abilities joined hands to make a difference

Individuals, families, friends, school and community groups seeking to spend MLK Day in support of those in need in our community.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, an annual community service event that benefits local nonprofits, sponsored by The Volunteer Center, The Kindness Connection and the Winnetka Community House.

Monday, January 21, 2019 from 1-4pm

Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka

In honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., volunteers of all ages and abilities participated in service projects to benefit local nonprofits and the people in need that they serve. The afternoon also provided a forum for polite, open-mic discussion of civil liberties and service to mankind, and Dr. King’s enduring message of tolerance, diversity and service.
