Winnetka Community Nursery School

For the past 70+ years, the Winnetka Children’s Fair has kicked off summer vacation for the children in our community. The Fair is planned, coordinated and run by the Board of Director’s of the Winnetka Community Nursery School  — but it is operated and supported by more than 750 volunteers from the community who give of their time and resources willingly to this special event.

Christ Church Rummage Sale

The annual Christ Church Rummage Sale is one of the largest and oldest Rummage Sales in the country, attracting over 4,000 shoppers annually from Chicagoland, surrounding states, and as far away as Canada. The sale is run each year by 400+ volunteers of all ages, some of whom have been working the sale for over 40 years. Proceeds from the sale are donated to over 70 Chicago area charities.
