About Alliance for Early Childhood
The Alliance for Early Childhood was founded in 1989 as a community collaboration organization, with the mission of promoting the healthy growth and development of children from birth to age eight, by providing support and services to the parents and teachers who care for and teach them. The Alliance currently has 38 member organizations. Current members include all of the public, private, and parochial elementary schools; all the preschools and day care centers; and many other organizations that provide services to young children, such as the libraries and park districts, in Winnetka, Northfield, and Kenilworth, Illinois. The Alliance also has 12 Associate Members, which are schools and organizations on the North Shore that lie outside our geographical area, but which want to maintain close ties with The Alliance.
