About Holiday Heroes
Each of our 20 hospitals (17 in Chicagoland) picks 4 months a year to have holiday themed parties.
- For in-person parties, we provide activity boxes, superheroes, meals and gifts and have a holiday celebration with the kids.
- For hospitals that still are not allowing in-person visitors, we can often provide virtual parties or virtual superhero visits.
- We can also provide smaller craft kits to Emergency Rooms and outpatient clinics to help entertain and distract pediatric patients from procedures and wait times.

Packing Parties
We are always looking for volunteer groups to help us with our Packing Parties.
- We will come to your space and bring craft supplies and other materials needed to pack activity boxes, hero packs or favor bags for hospitalized children.
- The theme of the packs varies depending on the season of the year.
- The size and age of your group will also determine what the group will be assigned to do.
- A Holiday Heroes staff member is always present to help and answer questions.
- The activity itself usually takes 1-2 hours.
This is a meaningful and fun volunteer activity for corporate groups, families, and community, civic and school groups.
