2022 Adaptive Tennis Program

Categories: Disabilities,Health & Wellness,Youth

About this Opportunity

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for 2022 Adaptive Tennis Program.

Tennis Instruction is provided for beginner, intermediate, and tournament level players who are ambulatory (standing) or use a manual or power chair.  In wheelchair tennis, the only rule change is that the player gets two bounces, if needed.  Athletes are under the coaching instruction of Paralympian Paul Moran and Coach Mike Carrico.

Volunteers are needed to assist the coaches with drills, field balls, one-on-one technique work and play in matches with athletes. All volunteers should be prepared to work with athletes of all abilities and levels (beginner, intermediate, recreational, and tournament). Although you will be assigned to specific courts initially, you may be asked to work with a different group based on the athletes and other volunteers present at each practice.

Volunteer Requirement: Volunteers must have tennis experience.
