North Shore Exchange, the award-winning, nonprofit luxury resale shop, is opening a third location in the Old Orchard Shopping Center on June 1! Our first two locations, in Glencoe and at 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago, and our online store, have raised $1.5 million for dozens of inspiring Chicagoland organizations doing important work to change the lives of families, individuals, and children with the greatest need.
If you have an eye for fashion and a passion for our mission, please consider joining our amazing volunteer team as a fashion intake and pricing specialist.
In this vital role, you will decide whether items offered for consignment or donation are a good fit for our customers and then research similar items to determine price. Then, you’ll enter the item into our computer system using our standard description format, print the tag, and watch it find its new home. This opportunity is for approximately 10 hours per week. Training provided. Volunteer hours would be spent at our 372 Hazel Avenue, Glencoe location at a mutually agreed upon time.
Must be able to climb stairs, lift light items off the floor, have strong attention to detail, be comfortable with computer research and learning a simple computer program, and be comfortable working with one other person, as this work is generally done in a team.
