About this Opportunity
Make a difference in the lives of persons with memory loss by interacting in the home-like setting of the House of Welcome Adult Day Service Program. (HOW). The HOW program serves older adults living with memory loss and provides a structured group program of therapeutic activities. You can assist with scheduled activities such as crafts, baking, games or spend time 1-1 with participants. No previous experience or skills required.
However, IF you have a pet therapy animal you can participate in that aspect. IF you play a musical instrument you can participate in the music therapy portion.
Because of the COVID outbreak, we are interviewing volunteer candidates for our volunteer roles by phone or on-line only. Please contact cpadovani@nssc.org and we will get the volunteer enrollment process started so that you will be ready to begin your new role with the North Shore Senior Center once our doors re-open.
