Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Product Photographer, North Shore Exchange.
North Shore Exchange, the award-winning, nonprofit luxury resale shop, is opening a third location in the Old Orchard Shopping Center on June 1! Our first two locations, in Glencoe and at 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago, and our online store, have raised $1.5 million for dozens of inspiring Chicagoland organizations doing important work to change the lives of families, individuals, and children with the greatest need.
If you can take a decent picture and have a passion for our mission, please consider joining our amazing volunteer team as a photographer for our new store in the Old Orchard Shopping Center. Our volunteer photographers are responsible for taking pictures of our merchandise, from clothing and handbags to jewelry, shoes and home decor items. These pictures are used to sell merchandise on our online store and also in our marketing efforts including email marketing and social media.
Our photography volunteers follow a provided, predetermined format for our product photography that allows us to present a consistent look to the products we feature online. Photos are shot square/no larger than 1000 x 1000, and uploaded no longer than 24 hours after the volunteer session to our shared Dropbox folder.
Being a professional photographer is not required (many of our volunteers just use their iPhones!). Must have strong attention to detail, be comfortable working independently, and be able to climb stairs and lift items off the floor. This opportunity is for approximately 5 hours per week. Training provided. Volunteer hours would be spent at our 372 Hazel Avenue, Glencoe boutique location at a mutually agreed upon time.

With acceptance of the volunteer role, the photographer agrees that photography shot of North Shore Exchange merchandise is the exclusive property of North Shore Exchange.
