Winnetka Historical Society: Volunteering at the Schmidt-Burnham Log House

About this Opportunity

Have you ever wondered what it was like to live in the 1800s?
Do you like games and lively conversation?
Are you interested in the history of the North Shore?

If one or all of your answers to these questions are yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Winnetka Historical Society is currently looking for volunteers to facilitate visitor experiences at the Schmidt-Burnham Log House on Sundays from 1:30-4:30, May 1 through November 20, 2022. Volunteering every Sunday is not required, but signing up for a set number of Sundays per month is preferable.

The Log House has a wonderful, rich history that requires enthusiastic docents/facilitators to share it with the public. In addition to telling visitors about the Log House’s history, there are also games and a scavenger hunt that create a great family experience.
