Individuals and/or groups are encouraged to become tutors. With a group, we can try to arrange for tutors to be involved with their individual students in the same program and at the same site. If selecting the digital method, similar applies. Description: Tutoring Chicago is the largest one-to-one after school tutoring program offering consistent long-term pairings of students and volunteers in the Chicagoland area. At Tutoring Chicago, weekly one-to-one tutoring with a consistent and trusted adult is entirely free of charge. Community members of all ages and abilities are invited to join us at the Community House in Winnetka on Monday, January 15th for one of our most popular annual service events. Individuals, families and community groups will come together to create crafts and projects to benefit 10+ local nonprofits -- including our always popular no-sew fleece blankets for the homeless, and other hands-on creations for veterans, hospitalized youth, senior citizens, orphaned animals and people in need.
